I think TVs have good effects on families.
Suppose, for example, there are two families.
One is the A’s whose members go out of the living room right after dinner.
The other is the B’s whose members enjoy watching sports after dinner every night.
Which family would you like to dine with?
In addition, if there’s good communication between family members, they can know each other better and this helps the members to cooperate with each other when necessary.
I think the members of the B’s are more likely to help each other in important life events such as entrance examination or job hunting.

I think people have no need of TVs.
In the old days, TV is an important source of information and the activity which provides pleasure to them, but these days, since computers and smartphones have become popular, there’s no need for TV.
Especially in the time when everyone has a smartphone and more and more videos have been uploaded to YouTube, I think the families whose members enjoy their own favorite videos outnumber the families whose members argue over which TV program to watch.
As for daily news, smartphones serve the purpose and as for recreation such as videos and movies, a wide computer screen does.
Therefore, I think people don’t need TVs.

The others may be staying in a hospital.
Since TV allows them to have fun by simply pushing a button, I think it has the potential to encourage them.
As I mentioned earlier, TVs can be enjoyed by more than two people, but it’s also possible to enjoy watching TV alone.
Spending time with someone can be stressful, so I think for people who are exhausted, it would be better to watch TV alone.

Since the senders of information gain profits by making the recipients’ minds lean toward a certain direction, there’s a strong possibility that they may suffer loses by believing the information provided by a single media company.
It’s important that people get information in a proactive attitude rather than receiving information in a passive way.

The internet is helpful for some people who have information literacy, but it’s harmful to the rest.
